One of Lionel's greatest achievements. The illustration clearly shows the great amount of realistic detail incorporated in it. In addition to the details of construction indicated on Page 6, this locomotive includes two operating pantagraphs, two illuminated signal lanterns on front and rear of locomotive, four flags, and an enormous amount of extra special detail in the superstructure. It is indeed a triumph of model engineering skill.
This locomotive is 17 inches long, and 8 1/2 inches high to top of pantagraph. It can be started, stopped, reversed and operated at any speed at any distance from the track by means of No. 81 controlling rheostat supplied with it. Complete with flags, lamps for headlights, also for front and rear lanterns.
The original selling price of this unit was $44.00.
