No. 2328 "Burlington" GP-7 Diesel

She's got a new design, new colors, great new power! Everything about her is brand-spanking-NEW!

You've never seen such complete detail as you'll find on this 14 1/4" long MAGNE-TRACTION-equipped scale detailed reproduction of General Motors' 1500-horsepower diesel-electric "GP-7". Every single surface detail has been included: sand box covers at both ends of the roof; fans and fan motors for the engine room; air intake louvers and grills; access doors; grap rails; engine stacks and even the exhaust stack of the boiler used in the real GP-7 for heating cab and passenger cars!

The motor is an efficient AC-DC universal type, mounted on a power truck and coupled by worm and gear arrangement to two MAGNE-TRACTION driving axles. And the warning horn is an exact sound replica of the original - operated by remote control horn relay independently of train speed or track voltage, for clear constant pitch and intensity!

· Twin, sealed-beam headlights, classification light, running lights... all illuminated at both ends of the locomotive!

· Ornamental die-cast horns mounted on each side of the body!

· Trucks show Hyatt roller bearing journal box covers, full elliptic bolster springs and individual brake cylinders and rigging for each wheel!

· Underframe permits easy insertion, removal of horn battery... carries twin air reservoirs and fuel tank details!

The original selling price of this unit was $23.50.
